Holiday Office Schedule

The AGEHR national office will be closed for the holidays, December 24 - January 1. We will reopen at 9:00 AM on January 2, 2008.

A Note From Jenny

Please join me in welcoming our newest staff member, Lisa Cole. She has assumed the responsibilities previously managed by Kim Westendorf including maintaining the AGEHR website, managing the technical side of our membership database and providing general technical support for the office.

Lisa can be reached via e-mail at webmaster@agehr.org or by phone at extension 116. Her regular hours are Tuesday-Thursday 9 AM to 2 PM and Friday 12 PM to 5 PM.

January/February '08 Overtones

The newest issue of Overtones is now available for viewing by members at the AGEHR members only website.

Introducing "Tips & Tools"

Beginning with the July/August 2008 issue, the center four pages of Overtones will feature a new section called “Tips & Tools.” This section will include items such as a short piece of music, teachers’ lesson plans, and handbell basics, as well as general activities, tools, and tips for music educators, community groups, church musicians, ringers, and directors—and all of it reproducible for immediate use in the classroom, rehearsal room, or church. Do you have any special activities you use with your ensemble, a lesson plan, an exercise, a printed form of some kind or just a quick tip to share?

Anything that can be used as a tip or a tool will be considered for publication. If you are a composer and would like to submit short pieces of music, i.e., processionals, introits, hymn accompaniments, etc., we certainly want to see those as well.
